Not required on National Fire Equipment Ltd. standard cabinets when lock is supplied with the cabinet.
The escutcheon is used to cover additional space between the lock and the lock hole. National Fire laser cuts the hole to accommodate The Model 7010 and Model 7017 deadbolt locks. The end result is a close fit with no openings between the lock and door. Therefore, the escutcheon is not required.
The escutcheon is recommended on pre-existing cabinets where new locks are provided or when the lock is shipped separately and not supplied by the cabinet manufacturer.
